In the Dutch city of Apeldoorn there is a zoo specializing in monkeys and apes. I am working on a study of the animals of that zoo. This is a Squirrel Monkey, Saimiri boliviensis. A large group is located at the entry of the zoo roaming around freely. They interact with the visitors, thus making it easy to study them. Free work. Gouache painting. 2005.
